Embrace. The word that God was whispering to me at the beginning of 2020. To embrace all that would come my way. And especially to embrace Him through it all. As this year started to unfold, little did I know how this year would push me to be in a posture where I would need His embrace.
Embrace means to hold closely, as well as to seize eagerly and to have willingness to receive.
This year, His embrace gave me the strength and security to keep pressing on during this pandemic. His embrace gave me peace and rest when the anxious thoughts came flooding in. His embrace gave me comfort and hope during the passing of my Nana. His embrace gave me joy and increased my faith as God Loves My Voice became a reality. I can go on and on how embracing the One who holds me close, made this year possible to endure. I am going to be honest, this year has not been my favorite, yet a year I will embrace wholeheartedly and treasure. In the midst of all the challenges, the difficult days, and the uncertainty, God gave me the gift of time, moments of joy, an opportunity to grow as an individual and to grow closer to Him. Also He gave me the room to connect with those who I love and graciously reminding me of the truth that He is who He says He is! As this year comes to a close, I have a heart full of gratitude for all that God has done and for His sweet embrace. I do not know what the remaining days of 2020 will bring and what 2021 will offer however, I will continue to receive what He has for me and embrace Him eagerly through it all!
So, I encourage you to embrace what God has for you. Have an open heart and seize it eagerly because God has purpose in what you endure. And above all, embrace Him and hold Him close because with Him all things are possible. God knows what you need my friend, and He is ready to give it to you. All you have to do is simply receive it.
“Our Master Jesus has his arms wide open for you.”
